Hi! First time poster, long time fan!
I used to go to see Blues Traveler every year at the Filene Center at Wolf Trap in Vienna, Virginia. They played there every year from 2001-2005, but have stopped going there, instead choosing the State Theatre or not in NoVa at all. Were they banned from Wolf Trap after '05 or something, or did they just decide to go somewhere else instead? I've moved to Richmond now, but I was just curious.
Looks like the Loudoun Music Fest is the culprit - they've been booked there every year since then except 2009, and in '09 they played Celebrate Fairfax and Celebrate Virginia in Fredericksburg. Might also have to do with ticket sales - Wolf Trap is 7000 tickets. I wouldn't compare it to the State as that's a fall tour stop rather than summer.
They were @ floydfest last year. I was hoping again this year, but not.
