No, I wasn't on the Weed, I am just entheusiastic when it comes to BT. Music helps me cope with life and Blues Traveler Travelers and Thieves gave me optimism and helped me remember that God loves me, even in really hard times. I can't thank the fellas enough for channeling that for me to hear since I was an angry lad. I like to go and support them with a high energy because I want them to know, in my book They Are Forever Owed.
That show was amazing and I am going to go to Red Rocks as many 4th of July's as I can.
The people were so cool and nice, Blues Traveler fans are the best fans I have ever met. Down to earth real folk. We met cool people as soon as we got to the parking lot.
I was lucky enough to get front row center for this show.
It was Legen......................wait for it........................................dary.
I can see why they don't like playing songs off of Travelers and Thieves because they are so demanding of the soul and voice to play. Alot of songs on that album cannot be performed unless John reaches down inside and gives it all away. Vocally almost every song was a show stopper. Musically every song was. I can't imagine the level of energy that it takes to sing those songs back to back like that. If anyone wonders why they hardly play songs from that album last night was a clear explanation. No voice exists on the planet that can keep singing like that night after night.
If I wasn't so blown away, I would write a review about this show, I hope to get my mind back together so I can. I am lying on my back in a hotel room trying to recover. Every muscle in my body aches from dancing.
If anyone hasn't had a chance to get to this show, it is a must, the setting is freaking awesome, there is nothing like it. Its architecture that fits into nature. Oldfan 7, thanks for the tour, I will definetely get in touch when we are in the neighborhood. Definetely going to make this a habit whenever affordable. No one treats their fans better than BT.
