Great show last night!
1. John's voice was terrible (but thanks for pulling out a great show anyway).
2. Everyone in the band knew that, and they came to play!
Lots of jams to keep Popper's voice off the mic.
3. I was afraid Springfield was going to be one of those venues where everyone sits down through the entire show, but with Chan's encouragement and a killer Mulling It Over, that ended up not being an issue.
Here's what I can remember of the set list
You, Me and Everything -->
Mullin' It Over -->
But Anyway
Girl Inside My Head
Crash Burn
DSNYC-->
You Reach Me -->
Manhattan Bridge -->
DSNYC
I get a little fuzzy after this. They played Run Around, Mountains Win Again, and Hook, What I Got, Devil When Down to Georgia, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, What's for Breakfast, and Low Rider (encore).
I saw one taper out in the audience, so maybe a copy will surface eventually.
Overall, I have to give huge props to the band. I know there was the possibility to canceling because of John's voice, but they came to play anyway and even seemed to feed off of that. Last night I saw five great musicians just rocking it. It reminded me why I love this band ... and made me wonder why I hadn't seen them in almost five year.
Thanks BT!!!!
